Learn Who We Are

  • Dr. Peter K. Eng

Dr. Peter Eng received his degree in Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) in 1988 from the Boston University School of Dental Medicine.  He finished in the top 5% of his class and went on to complete a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) in 1989 and earned his Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies (CAGS). During his spare time, Dr. Eng enjoys a great movie or taking a mini-vacation. His favorite spot is Boston, MA where he gets to catch up with his children. Dr. Eng is also a car enthusiast and loves watching car restoration shows.

  • Dr.
    Leila Wang

Dr. Wang is a double doctorate achiever, earning her PhD in Biomedical Science from UMass Amherst, followed by her DMD from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Wang has experience in the prestigious National Institute of Health in Bethesda, MD. She is a member of the American Dental Association and New Jersey Dental Association. During her spare time, Dr. Wang enjoys cooking, jogging, kayaking and hiking. She enjoys traveling, especially to Maine, and has been watercolor painting since she was four years old.

  • Pilar A. Celis

I’m proud to work in an office that provides high quality dentistry. My favorite part of my job is to make patients comfortable during treatment and make sure they leave with a smile. I earned my degree from NYU in May 2012. I have prepared myself to become a RDH because I want to educate patients about the importance of proper oral hygiene and prevention of oral diseases. I have been a dental hygienist at MLDA since July 2012.

  • Erik Celis

Behind every telephone call is a patient or family member with a different need, and behind every need, there is an opportunity to bring on a smile...this is the motto that I stand by. Since graduating from Montclair State University, I have over 7 years of experience in healthcare customer service, and I have been a team member of this practice since 2018, greeting our patients as they come through our front door.

  • Elizabeth Feliz

I have been a dental assistant since 2007, and my job is to prepare and explain the procedures to our patients and facilitate the doctor’s work to make each visit comfortable and enjoyable for our patients. One of the things that fills me with satisfaction is when a patient comes to us discouraged by a dental situation, or pain and discomfort with their dental appearance, and we are able to find a solution and transform their smile.

  • Luz Mosquera

I been working in the dental field since 2012, and I am currently the Office Coordinator at MLDA.  I love using my vast knowledge of dentistry and dental insurance to help our patients navigate through the process. I am always ready and willing to help and proud to be considered an invaluable asset to our office.

I appreciate the caring, compassion, and professionalism shown by Dr. Peter Eng and his entire staff. He takes the time to fully explain options and addresses any concerns/questions I have. He truly values and respects his patients.

    Lola E.

COVID-19: Our Response

There has been much heightened awareness recently surrounding the COVID-19 virus. Your well-being and that of our staff are important to us and will always remain our highest priority. We want to provide you with some medical facts and preventive measures this practice has taken because we believe in transparency and honesty with our patients.

Dental practices are one of the safest places you can visit because infection control is the foundation we build on:

Mountain Lakes Dental adopts strict infection control as its best practice. Adherence is mandatory and non-negotiable for its employees.

  • Our patients come to us in good health unlike other medical facilities that treat patients with medical symptoms.
  • Maintaining healthy dental hygiene is key to your overall health. Dental problems have been known to increase risk of serious health issues such as heart attack, stroke and poorly controlled diabetes.

Infection control measures in place since our practice’s inception in 1992:

  • All exam room surfaces are cleaned and decontaminated after each patient visit
  • Exam room surfaces with frequent contacts (Instrument trays, x-ray sensors, etc.) are covered with protective covers that are replaced after each patient visit
  • Non-disposable items such as dental tools are cleaned and sterilized on premise after each patient visit. Sterilized instruments in their sealed packaging are opened in front of our patients.
  • Our staff, including front office personnel, are required to dress in appropriate protective garbs (gloves, masks, goggles, scrubs or protective gowns) while working in treatment rooms. Our staff is required to put on a new pair of gloves before seeing the next patient.
  • Treatment room floors are mopped with a bleach-based solution
  • Beginning 2019, our staff also adopted the use of protective head gear
  • For their protection and those around them, our staff does not wear protective garbs when going to social events outside of work. For example, our staff changes out of their scrubs when going out to restaurants for lunch.

Additional precautions we’ve taken and more choices for you:

  • Disposable seat covers are available in public restroom
  • Waiting room and reception areas are cleaned with disinfectant products several times each day
  • Patients with upcoming appointments and have cold like symptoms are rescheduled
  • Patients have the option of waiting in their cars until their treatment room is available. Kindly inform us you prefer this option and we will call you when the doctor or hygienist is ready for you.

Like you, we are closely monitoring alerts and updates from the World Health Organization (WHO) and Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and adopting their recommendations into our best practices.  Your well being is our highest priority and we want to make your visit as comfortable and as safe as possible.  We are also committed to maintaining excellent oral health for you.  If you have questions or concerns about our infection control measures, please contact our Compliance Officer, Rebecca Eng, at [email protected] and she will respond to your questions promptly.  You can also visit www.CDC.gov to find out how you can protect yourself and your family.
